AREA 506 is one of Atlantic Canada’s premier music festivals. Launched on the New Brunswick Day weekend in 2016, the festival has become a beacon for New Brunswick pride each summer with a grand display of the best in New Brunswick’s music, culture, and goods.
Following both a welcomed and triumphant return to live music on the Saint John Waterfront in 2021 with the Waterfront Concert Series, AREA 506 launched its next venture – a permanent Waterfront Container Village featuring brands and products from across New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada, a permanent second stage for the Waterfront Concert Series running throughout the summer and into early fall, and a long-term home for the annual AREA 506 music festival held every August long weekend.
These transformational changes were a defining moment for AREA 506 and sparked a realization that the festival had outgrown its current website and online presence. It needed a new website that was robust, would showcase the full-scale AREA 506’s operations all while taking its established brand to the next level.
Bonfire was happy to be a partner in this project, seeing the site through from the site mapping and wireframe stage, to design and copywriting, to development, final quality assurance testing and the big launch.
